The purpose of the diode (rectifier) in this unit is to drop the line voltage (120v) at the lamp socket to (82v) Once the diode is compromised the lamp socket has (120v) across it and lamps will burn out immediatley until the diode is replaced.

The 3M Diode (rectifier) part number 78-8052-8351-8 was discontinued by 3M. M-B Electronics is pleased to announce that we now carry this 3M Diode in a replacement kit. The kit will replace 3M part number 78-8052-8351-8. We have this kit in stock and available for immediate shipment!

This diode from 3M controls the voltage that is delivered to the lamp. If the diode is defective your unit will blow projection lamps. Use M-B Electronics Part Number 213MB9077
